AQUESSENCE ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Order information: name, email address, delivery address, phone number, and order details.
- Payment information: processed directly by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card details.
- Usage information: pages visited, device and browser type, and referring site, collected through cookies and analytics.
- Communications: any information you send us by email or contact form.
Why we collect it
To process and deliver your orders, provide customer support, send order updates, improve our website and products, and — only if you opt in — send marketing emails.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers needed to run the store: Shopify (e-commerce platform), payment processors, shipping and fulfilment partners, and email and analytics providers. We do not sell your personal information.
Some of these providers are located overseas, which means your information may be stored or processed outside Australia.
Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails if you've opted in. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also email hello@aquessence.com.au to be removed.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some parts of the store may stop working.
Data retention
We keep order records for as long as required by Australian tax and consumer law, and other personal information only for as long as we need it.
Your rights
You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it (where we're not legally required to keep it), or opt out of marketing at any time. Email hello@aquessence.com.au.
If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
